In the end it was a good result for us. We finished 2nd. on the water , and 4th on corrected time  in a very competitive class with lots of local fast boats - real racers . 

Today relaxation at Pigeon Point beach thanks to Guillaume and Claudine  at Catherine's Cafe, before sailing towards St Barth and then  the next race in St Maarten - the Heineken regatta.

It sees a mixed crowd of tourists, islanders and yachties, who come in for live music (Fridays) and dancing, fired by rum punch and Caribbean beers.

The Galley Bar has a lovely setting in Nelson’s Dockyard, where sailors have enjoyed a drink or two for centuries. The pretty open-sided bar is surrounded by cannon, copper boilers and palms. The place heaves during happy hour, between 5.30pm and 6.30pm.

 Phaedo3 breaks RORC Caribbean 600 Multihull Record

 

Lloyd Thornburg's MOD 70, Phaedo3 crossed the finish line in Antigua at 20:35:30 AST on 24th February 2015 in an elapsed time of 1 day, 9 hours, 35 minutes and 30 seconds.

Phaedo3 has broken the multihull race record set by Claude Thelier and John Burnie's ORMA 60, Region Guadeloupe by 6 hours, 35 minutes and 35 seconds.

Caribbean RORC 600

The 7th edition of the RORC Caribbean 600 is looking like a real cracker and proving irresistible to a variety of yacht racing teams from all over the world. A myriad of 64 yachts, representing 14 different nations from Russia to Spain; USA to Lithuania, and joined by competitors from closer to home - Antigua and young Figaro sailors from the Guadeloupe Sailing Academy - started on Monday 23rd February

Milanto has won the Swan Transatlantic Cup - 2nd year running !

Valerio , Herbert,  Josef and Carla are to be congratulated on an incredible feat  -  they won the cup for the for the ARC Rally despite being only 4 on board . Many congratulations to the other 12 Swans who took part and especially to King's Legend, Bernice and Cheri. for their final placing in the Rally.

Looking forward to seeing everyone in Monaco at the prize-giving.
