For those of you who cannot resist a list!

VALERIO'S TOP 10 BAY in the WEST MEDITERRANEAN

PLAYA LLETES- FORMENTERA

THE beach you've been searching for! White sand stretching as far as the eye can see, and incredibly clear azure waters both contribute to that Caribbean feeling the island is famous for. Lunch at one of the beach clubs.

BENIRRAS BEACH - IBIZA

Gather for a unique Ibiza experience, accompanied on Sundays by the drummers who descend to the beach to 'drum down the sunset' in this iconic bay - not to be missed while you sip a cocktail at one of the bars.

CABRERA - MALLORCA

Greeks and Phoenicians stopped here around 1,000BC, pirates in the 1500s, but now those in the know book a 24 hour pass to stay  is one of the most stunning spots, 10 miles off the Mallorca coast

CALA PRECONDA - MENORCA

A beautiful remote beach on the north side of Menorca. The beach itself is a long sandy beach with calm waters that are ideal for snorkelling and diving - there is also a great point for the courageous to jump off a 4 mt. rock into a ‘plunge’ pool !

PLAGE DE NOTRE-DAME - ILE DE PORQUEROLLES

The gorgeous beach at Ile de Porquerolles, an island on the French Riviera, is perfumed with the scent of eucalyptus and pine trees. Ride around discovering the sandy island on bikes  and have a meal at the beach or in the main village square.

PLAGE DE PAMPELLONE - ST. TROPEZ

This is the beach that has fuelled St Tropez’s fame since 1955. For those who have no intentions of escaping the crowds select your favourite beach club like Voile Rouge, Nikki Beach or Club 55 -see and be seen.

SPIAGGIA ROSA - BUDELLI -SARDEGNA

You’ve never seen a place like this - unless you’ve watch Antonioni’s ‘Red Desert’ filmed in ’64. The beach and the whole island, are part of the Archipelago of the Maddalena National Marine Park. Anchor at the Spiaggia di Cavalieri nearby.

THE RONDINARA BAY - CORSICA

Elected repeatedly most beautiful beach of France or Europe, the beach of Rondinara disappoints nobody: fine sand, turquoise waters, sloping gently, surrounded beautifully by preserved scrubland and decorated with reddish rocks.

L A V E Z Z I  I S L E S - C O R S IC A

This little explored archipelago is in the Strait of Bonifacio that separates Corsica from Sardinia and boasts a number of secluded beaches and coves. Incredibly blue water and fantastic rock formations make it quite out of this world.

BIODOLA+ SCAGLIERI - ELBA

The two beaches sharing one bay on the island's north coast. Clear waters for snorkelling and finest sands, plus some pretty villages around them. Order a glass of white wine in the bar on Scaglieri beach, and watch the sunset and the rocky silhouettes of Capraia and Corsica on the horizon.
